Raised with dirt under their paws
and people in their hearts.
OFA & CERF-cleared Australian Shepherds from working-line pedigrees โ raised on open pasture by a family that loves every single one of them.
A family album,
one dog at a time.
Every card below is a real dog, a real family, a real story โ names, places, and all the muddy details.

Meet Juniper
Burlington, VT
Now herding goats on a 40-acre hobby farm
We drove nine hours each way and would do it again tomorrow. Biscuit changed our morning routine completely โ we wake up early now because he needs it, and honestly, so did we.
OFA Hip & Elbow Scores
Every breeding dog holds OFA ratings of Good or Excellent. We never breed from dogs with Fair scores or lower โ full stop.
I spent six months on breed forums before reaching out. The health clearances, the pedigree depth, the way they answered every single question โ this is what ethical breeding looks like.

Meet Huckleberry
Bozeman, MT
Agility training, weekend trail dog
CERF Eye Certification
Annual CERF exams by board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists. All breeding stock is current on eye clearances.

Meet Clementine
Fredericksburg, TX
Ranch dog, duck herder, lap dog (in that order)
Our kids were 5 and 8 when we got Ruckus. He's patient with the little one, rough-and-tumble with the older one, and somehow knows exactly which mode to be in. Genuinely magical dog.

Working-line depth, four generations deep.
Both sires hold WTCH titles. Both dams have AFC points. We didn't stumble into good bloodlines โ we spent a decade building them. Every litter traces back to proven stock.
Working-Line Depth
Our pedigrees trace back to proven WTCH and AFC titled dogs. Intelligence and work ethic are built in, not trained in.
We test everything.
No exceptions.
Every dog in our breeding program holds current clearances on file with the OFA and CAER registries โ publicly verifiable, always up to date.
We stand behind every puppy we place.
If your puppy develops a genetic health condition covered by our clearances within two years, we will work with you โ replacement, refund, or contribution toward medical costs. We've never had to invoke it, but it's there because we mean what we say.

Not a kennel.
A family operation.
We're the Mercer family โ Dusty, Leigh, and our three kids โ tucked into rolling Hill Country acreage where the sunsets turn everything copper and the dogs run until they decide to stop.
Our Aussies sleep in the house, work the goats, ride in the truck, and sit on the porch. They're not kennel dogs. They're ranch dogs who happen to be available to the right families.
We limit ourselves to two litters per year โ not because we can't produce more, but because every puppy deserves individual attention from us before they go home to you.

"He came home on a Tuesday. By Friday he knew sit, down, and exactly which couch cushion was his. By the following Tuesday, he'd figured out how to open the back gate. We haven't been bored since."
